Cultivating Ally relationships is about discussing the un-discussables before they become barriers - Morag Barrett

We all experience tough professional relationships at some point in our career. With the Cultivate@Work resources you will have proven techniques for taking action in the moment. Actions designed to strengthen those relationships, and to stop further decline in the relationship health.

How is the program structured?

'Nurture Your Critical Relationships' is divided into several sections that provide the tools and resources to nurture your existing relationships, as well as advice on how to expand your network.

Your Relationship Insights

  • Throughout the course you will see boxes like this, that give you exercises and activities to complete.
  • Some exercises will prompt you to reflect on your experiences to date, those that went well and those that didn't go to plan. Others will help you to prepare to take action and invest in your current relationships at work. Others will ask you to anticipate future scenarios and to plan how you might respond.
  • The activities include video, articles and written exercises. You can move through the content in whatever order catches your attention. Most of the exercises are short and easy to complete, your challenge is to translate theory into practice. To do something with the insights you gain, and as a result change the nature of your professional relationships at work.

What happens next?

The choice is yours. You can be curious, seek to understand how you can nurture your professional relationships and ensure they thrive, or continue along the existing relationship path. If you choose the latter, to pay lip service or do nothing different, at best the relationship will remain stagnant, and at worse it will continue to deteriorate.

Instead, we challenge you to choose to go first, to invest in your professional relationships today. As a result you will experience a profound pivot point in your experiences at work. The investment is yours, and will be more than worth it.
